High School and Elementary Leadership Positions Available
UNO leaders and teachers are unique in that they realize that success is built on relationships and they focus their work on student learning not teaching. Furthermore, they whole-heartedly believe that all students can learn and that it is all of our responsibilities to develop our students, both personally and academically. Leaders understand and act on their responsibility to professionally support and develop all staff members to reach their full instructional and leadership potential. The UNO Charter School Network has been involved with educational reform in Chicago for the past 20 years and has responded to the educational dilemma by establishing six academically successful K-8 charter schools since 1997 and will open, in response to parent demand, a quality high school in 2008 that promotes UNOs standard of high expectations and structured school environment. UNO Charter School Networks mission is to reshape the culture of education reform by creating learning environments where academic success is not a hope but an expectation. UNO is searching for visionary leaders for both school-level and network level leadership positions. Successful candidates will possess a commitment to redefining academic excellence through action: the development and realization of the UNO Academic Model. The model will place an emphasis on differentiated learning, a balance between higher order and basic skills mastery and content-rich, standards based instruction. Through this model, UNO students will develop as avid readers, articulate communicators and entrepreneurial, life-long learners ready for success in the nations top universities. If you are interested in joining our team to realize UNOs mission, you are invited to apply for one of the following positions: School-level Network-level For more information, please visit the UNO Charter School Network website: www.unocharterschools.org Interested candidates are invited to submit their cover letter and resume to: Vanessa Diaz, HR Recruiter at vdiaz@uno-online.org or United Neighborhood Organization, 954 W.
